ETHICAL SOURCING POLICY

At Ittai, we are aware and we understand that we have a corporate and social responsibility towards ethical sourcing/procurement and supply chains. We are committed to developing and maintaining a significant role in our industry by subscribing to high standards of ethical conduct. This is as much in our supply chain as it is our own everyday activities. We continually seek suppliers of products and services that are ethically produced. We do this by endeavouring to work with all of our suppliers, which in turn influences our social, ethical and environmental performance. We have and will always take this ongoing conduct and responsibility as a key part of our performance as a company.

Preferred Suppliers
These are suppliers who respect and comply with relevant laws, regulations treaties, covenants or other agreements as well as international labour standards. We look for suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to implementing policies and practices consistent with and complementary to our own. We believe these considerations to be the platform from which responsible ethical behaviours can be built, which in turn helps check that controls are in place to ensure that decent working conditions are met within supply chains.

Labour expectations
We expect suppliers to have sound labour practices; we expect them to treat their employees fairly, employees must not be discriminated against because of personal characteristics or beliefs. Our supplier labour practices must be in accordance with local laws and regulations relating to labour and employment. Suppliers must not use forced, bonded or involuntary labour, no harsh and inhumane treatment will be allowed within our supply chain.

Wages and Benefits
Pay shall be calculated at the legally required rate and suppliers shall provide wages and benefits that comply with all local laws and regulations.

Child Labour
Our suppliers must agree not to use child labour within the supply chain, children under the age of 16 years. Suppliers shall verify the age of their workers and maintain copies of their workers’ proof of age. Suppliers shall follow all applicable laws and regulations regarding working hours and conditions for all employees.

Hours
Our suppliers must be committed to ensuring that all working hours will comply with national laws within the country in question. Suppliers shall guarantee breaks and days off in compliance with applicable law. Workers should be free to leave once their shift ends, or after giving their employer reasonable notice.

Immigration Law Compliance
Suppliers shall only employ workers who have a legal right to work, including workers obtained through an employment agency. Workers’ legal rights to work must be validated by reviewing original documentation prior to commencement of work.

Safe and Hygienic Conditions
Suppliers must share in our commitment to providing a safe and hygienic working environment. Health & safety and other workplace standards must adhere to all local laws and safety regulations. They shall also provide continuous monitoring to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulation standards.

Monitoring
In order to effectively monitor and audit these standards we expect our suppliers to complete our questionnaires and provide valid internationally recognised audit certification. We also expect our suppliers/manufacturers to provide full access to all production facilities when required and all records that relate to employment practices within the Company. Non- compliance will result in Ittai terminating our business relationship if progress is not made.
